The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston announced that the board of directors has appointed Kathy ‘KP’ Papadimitriou as Chief Executive Officer effective May 30, 2017.
“After a thorough selection process, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce that KP is joining the Ronald McDonald House team and will lead the charity as we look into the future,” said, Bert Hefke, Board President.
KP remarked, “As I return to my home state, it is such a privilege to be able to join a dynamic team and such loyal and giving donors who have established such a worthy living charity for our community. This community has given me so much growing up, and I see it a privilege to be able to help the children and families during their intensive medical times.”
KP grew up in Charleston. Following her college experiences, she specialized in the Hospitality and Live Event Industry. With over 30 years of experience, she matriculated to running some of the top event companies across the US, Canada, Europe and the Pacific Rim on a day to day basis.
Her creative and operational expertise has been instrumental in the design and execution of numerous award-winning International programs to include multiple Sponsors’ Olympic Hospitality Programs, the NBA All Star events, Board of Director meetings, corporate product launches, top agent incentives, corporate training programs and fundraising events. Her clientele list includes many of the Fortune 500 brands.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston is a 32-bedroom home where families stay while their children undergo extensive medical treatment.
